If you are looking for a guided walk on Snowdon or, a walk within the Snowdonia National Park taking you through the diverse terrain of mountain ridges, paths and trails with breath taking scenery - with the added benefit of a qualified mountain leader and guide then you’ve found the right person! Yr Wyddfa, also known as Snowdon, stands as the tallest mountain in Wales and England. As one of the most iconic and recognizable landmarks, it is definitely worth visiting and is conveniently located just a 25-minute drive from The Gwydyr Hotel.
We offer a wide selection of maps and walking guides for our guests to discover local trails.
Numerous outdoor walking shops in the village provide all the necessary equipment and protective clothing for walkers of all types. Guests also have access to our drying room to dry their boots and clothing.
Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa in Welsh) is the highest mountain in Wales and England. It's one of our most famous and regonizable landmarks and is well worth a visit and just 25 min drive from Gwydyr Hotel
Breathe the fresh air; enjoy walking one of the many trails around the village, bike on a huge range or mountain biking trails, take in the history and culture of one of North Wales' many castles.
This is a pleasant walk to Llyn Elsi, a lake in the forest above Betws y Coed. The walk through the forest is fairly easy going, and leads to a clearing with excellent views across to Moel Siabod.
